FOUR persons were injured when the passenger jeepney they were in lost its brakes and rammed into three vehicles at the downslope lane of the Lambingan Bridge in Sta. Ana, Maynila .
The Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit -Vehicle Traffic and Investigation Section identified the victims as Frank Lou Labong, Dianne Christine Labong, John Steve Delos Santos and Analyn Delos Santos.
The driver of the jeepney identified as Rogelio Cañete was placed under arrest.
Prober PCpl Erikson Alfonso Dela Cruz of the MDTEU-VTIS said the incident occurred at 12:45 p.m. along the Lambingan Bridge’s southwest bound lane on New Panaderos Street in Sta. Ana.
Prior to it, the following were cruising along the same bridge: the passenger jeepney (DEC-847) driven by Cañete; Yamaha Mio Soul motorcycle (MV File 1301-1478636) being driven by Frank Lou with rider Dianne Christine; Honda ZH125motorcycle (MV File No. 1366-304205) being driven by John Steve with Analyn as rider and a Honda CRV (CRV-128) with an unidentified man on board.
The jeep reportedly lost its brakes while going downward, hitting the two motorcycles first before the Honda CRV.
Frank Lou and Dianne Christine were pinned between the jeepney and the Honda CRV while thrown on impact from their motorcycles were John Steve and Analyn.
