THE Manila Police District -Police Station 3 announced the arrest of a 28-year-old man suspected of kidnapping a farmer in La Trinidad Benguet, during an operation at the corner of Gonzalo Puyat Street and Rizal Avenue in Sta Cruz, Manila.
Plaza Miranda Sector 1 Commander PMAJ John Peter Fallar said they were conducting patrol and clearing operation when a concerned citizen sought help regarding a man going amuck along Rizal Avenue in Sta. Cruz.
Fallar and his men responded and caught the suspect in the act of going amuck, after the supposed buyer of his motorcycle backed out due to defects found in the unit.
The suspect was brought to the precinct and upon verification, it turned out that he had an arrest warrant for a case of kidnapping after he got involved in the April 2025 abduction of a farmer in Trinidad Benguet.
Fallar said the suspect and his cohorts brought the victim to General Trias, Cavite to await the payment of ransom from his family, which later became a demand for marijuana supply.
The suspect was also found to have been once arrested for marijuana selling in Caloocan City.
He is now under the custody of the MPD- Station 3.
