Kidney for sale victim seeks help from NBI

A ‘kidney for sale’ victim sought help from the National Bureau of investigation (NBI) after experiencing various health problems following the kidney removal done on him.

This, as another reportedly nearly became a victim also of ‘kidney for sale‘ when his kidney did not match with the patient, so that the sale no longer pushed through.

It was learned from NBI Director Jaime Santiago that he sold his kidney for P200,000 but that it took six months before the payment was fully made.

The near-victim admitted that he offered his kidney via Facebook for P300,000 and that after posting, he immediately received calls inquiring about it.

However, when his kidney did not match with the patient, he decided not to push through with it.

Santiago said the bureau is investigating if the first arrest made in Bulacan has something to do with the recent buyer of kidney and the seller.

Both wore hoods when presented to the NBI to hide their identities.
