Knowledge channel foundation honors teachers on ‘IT’S SHOWTIME’

Anne Curtis celebrates World Teachers Day with the 10 lucky letter senders of Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc.

KNOWLEDGE Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) recently celebrated “National Teachers Month” and “World Teachers’ Day” by honoring educators from different parts of the country.

Various surprises were received by some teachers, retired educators, and school heads from the Department of Education from September 30 until October 5, including a tour of ABS-CBN and watching the noontime show, “It’s Showtime” live as part of the audience.

On October 5, which was “World Teacher’s Day,” 10 schools for whom teachers sought assistance from KCFI, received a Gift of Knowledge package which included Knowledge TV and an ABS-CBN TVplus box or a SKYdirect connection for remote schools on “It’s Showtime.”

“It’s Showtime” hosts na Amy Perez, Anne Curits, Karylle, and Vice Ganda, together with Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. president and executive director Rina Lopez-Bautista, formally turned over the Knowledge Channel packages to the lucky schools. The schools are Canaan West Elementary School in Nueva Ecija, Putingkahoy Elementary School in Lian Batangas, ALS Center in Bacoor City Jail in Cavite, Marian School of the Holy Redeemer in Antipolo, Patong Elementary School and Tabok Elementary School in Calbiga, Samar, Pan-ay Diot Elementary School in Tudelea, Misamis Occidental, Tumabao Elementary School in Banisihan, Cotabato, Amungan Elementary School in Iba, Zambales, and San Isidro Elementary School in Cabuyao, Laguna.

Meanwhile,  more fun learning shows have been added to Knowledge Channel’s roster of exciting shows with Kapamilya stars like Enchong Dee coming back for the newest season of “Agricoolture,” Maymay Entrata and Khalil Ramos for the fourth season of “Puno ng Buhay,” Marlo Mortel for the educational game show “Knowledge on the Go!,” and Robi Domingo for “MathDali.”

These new programs can easily be accessed online via www.knowledgechannel.org, through Knowledge TV, and on-air via the Knowledge Channel shown in the various platforms of the Philippines’ leading media and entertainment company, ABS-CBN Corporation.
