Korean beats up Korean over unpaid casino debt

A KOREAN national was beaten up in Malate, Manila the, other night by his compatriot and the latter’s Filipino companion over an unpaid debt which he had used up in a casino.

In his complaint filed at the Manila Police District-Station 9, victim Lee Sang Ho, 48, of Birch Tower, Jorge Bacobo Street, Malate, Manila, identified the suspect as Yang Won, of Echelon Tower, located on A. Mabini St., Malate, Manila and an unidentified companion whom the victim said he will be able to identify once he sees him again.

The incident reportedly occurred at 11:30 p.m. at the Shell gasoline station on A. Mabini Street corner Quirino Avenue.

The victim reported the incident to the police.

PMSgt. Allan Crisologo said the suspects were no longer at th escene when he arrived.

Police said that based on the narration of the victim, the suspect is a casino financier.

The MPD-Stadtion 9 referred the matter to the MPD-General Assignment and Investigation for proper action.
