Laborer shot dead in Cabanatuan City

CABANATUAN CITY — A 48-year-old laborer driving a tricycle was shot dead in broad daylight by unidentified motorcycle-riding suspects in this city last Saturday.

City police chief Lt. Col. Arnel M. Dial identified the victim as Percy Manalo, construction worker, of Purok Acacia, Bgy. Pamaldan.

Probers said the incident occurred in Purok 5, Bgy. Samon at 12:20 p.m.

Investigation showed the victim was on his way home driving his Kawasaki Bajaj tricycle when he was peppered with bullets by unidentified men aboard a black motorcycle upon reaching the area.

Dial said the suspects escaped towards Bgy. Cinco-Cinco.

Police are clueless on the motive for the attack which occurred while the province is still under modified general quarantine status because of COVID-19.
