“Ito ay responsibilidad ng bawat isang tanggapan dito sa ating pamahalaan. Samakatwid, sana, ayusin po natin at siguraduhin na lahat ng pag-aari ng ating lungsod ay nagagamit nang wasto at napag-iingatan, dahil ito po ay gagamitin pa ng mga susunod na mamamahala sa ating lungsod.”
This was the message aired by Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna during Monday’s flag raising ceremony in City Hall, where she called on all officials and employees of the local government to take good care of city properties, whether big or small.
According to Lacuna, city properties have been bought with the taxpayer’s money and thus should be taken care of like one would his personal properties.
She thanked the city general services office (CGS0) for ensuring that city properties are in good condition at all times.
Meanwhile, Lacuna said that some government offices in the National Capital Region (NCR) have already reverted to the 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule.
As such, Lacuna took the consensus among those present by asking them if they also prefer to revert to the 8 a.m. schedule or stick to the 7 a.m. schedule they already have been used to.
To her surprise, most of those present raised their hands to vote for the 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. schedule, saying it is more convenient for them since the rides to and from work are much easier to catch.
