CAMP BGEN PACIANO, Rizal – Sta Cruz , Laguna — Laguna Provincial Director PCol. Serafin Petalio has announced that 19 most wanted persons and 74 others were arrested during intensified police and interventions and operations in the province.
Laguna PNP is leading in accomplishments in Calabarzon regarding the arrest of wanted persons in the region for the 4th quarter of 2020
A total of 2,321 surrenderees under Project Tokhang Laguna. From January 1-14, 2021, 108 leaders and members of drug groups and 185 suspects were arrested.
During Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) conducted from January 15-17, 2021, 83 illegal gambling and drug personalities as well as four most persons were arrested.
During operations against criminal gangs, 11 personalities were arrested.
Laguna PNP also intensified Oplan Bakal, Oplan Sita, Oplan Katok, Oplan Galugad and Oplan Bulabog to decrease or eliminate crime incidents within the province.
The internal cleansing program which includes random drug test, surprise inspection and police information and continuing education continues to ensure the integrity of Laguna PNP.
Project P.N.P SINAS (Pito Ni Petalio: Silbato Na Sasaklolo) continues to address gender-based violence incidents through the empowerment of women, teenagers, and children, wherein more than 1000 whistles, P.N.P leaflets, and bookmarks were given provincewide.
A total of 1,390 PNP personnel underwent swab tests wherein a total of 165 personnel tested positive for COVID-19. A total of 155 personnel have recovered, while 10 are still active cases and currently in quarantine facilities. No fatality was reported.
Petalio II, commanded all Chiefs of Police to strengthen police intervention and operations to eliminate crime incidents, specially the 8 focus crimes in their areas of responsibility.
