A 77-YEAR-OLD grandmother was shot dead at home by a still unidentified suspect in front of her 12-year-old grandson Thursday evening in Bgy. Ibabang Sungi, Liliw, Laguna.
Investigator P/Col.Mark Francis Sampaga identified the slain victim as Barbara Cynthia Buzon.
Sampaga said the victim sustained ten gunshot wounds in different parts of her body from a .45 caliber pistol used by the suspect.
Initial investigation showed the incident occurred while Buzon was watching television inside her nipa hut at about 7:30 p.m.
Police said the unidentifed suspect armed with .45 caliber barged into the nipa hut and shot the victim repeatedly.
Buzon was declared dead on arrival by an attending physician at the Nagcarlan District Hospital.
“Medyo may kadiliman ang lugar ng pinangyarihan kaya,t walang makapagtuturo sa suspect,” said Sampaga.
Liliw police will be conducted follow up operation for possible identification of the suspect even the motives of the incident.
