LTO extends validity of student’s permits, licenses

THE Land Transportation Office (LTO) extended anew the validity of student’s permit, driver’s license and conductors to March 31, 2021 due to the pandemic, a ranking official of the agency reported yesterday.

Lawyer Clarence Guinto, acting director of the LTO-Law Enforcement Section (LTO), said the memorandum order issued by Assistant Secretary and LTO Chief Edgar Galvante covered by the order are those 17 to 20 years old and senior citizens (60-year old above).

The validity of permits of licenses of holders who were required to remain in their residences during the quarantine period (from March 2020 to December 31, 2020) will be extended until March 31, 2021.

This is the 3rd time the agency has extended the validity of some issued licenses due to the extended restrictions by the IATF.
