LUCENA CITY— City police operatives yesterday seized some half million pesos worth of illegal drugs resulting to the arrest of a couple at Purok Santol 2, Bgy. Mayao Crossing, this city.
City police chief Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea said Mark Acabado alias Dagie, 38, and his live- in partner Rosselle Flores, 30, both of said village were caught red- handed with shabu during a buy bust witnessed by village officials and a media representative.
In his report to Quezon police director Col. Ericson Dilag, Albacea said the lawmen seized from the couple some 26.30 grams of suspected shabu with estimated street value of P536,520.00, a coin purse and a marked P500.
Albacea said both suspects are included in the drugs watchlist of the city police station.
He said the couple’s arrest was carried out on the basis of validated reports from the community.
They were charged with violations of Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
