A MALE detainee who had symptoms of COVID-19 died while confined in a hospital in Quezon City.
A report from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the Quezon City Police District showed that Ambulario Casiano, 54, Person Under Police Custody (PUCP) of the Batasan Police Station (PS-6) was rushed to the Quezon City General Hospital around 5:50 p.m. on October 21, 2020 due to fever, cough and loss of appetite.
At about 5:07 p.m. of October 26, 2020, the victim was pronounced dead by his attending physician.
It was learned that on June 7, 2020, Casiano was arrested and detained by the elements of Batasan Police Station (PS-6), QCPD for violation of Section 11 of R.A. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
