Man gets 14 years for shabu possession

A DRUG personality was sentenced by a Baguio City Regional Trial Court to 12 to 14 years imprisonment for shabu use and possession.

RTC Branch 61 of Baguio City convicted Robert Manalili David a.k.a. Ramon David for violation of Sec. 11 and 15 of Article II of RA 9165, or possession and use of shabu. The drug personality was ordered to pay a fine of P300,000.

Manalili was arrested during a buy-bust conducted along Otek Street, Azkco Barangay, by personnel of the City Drug Enforcement Unit headed by Police Major Nicomedes Olarte III and Police Captain Julius Basinga.

Four transparent heat sealed plastic sachets containing shabu weighing a total of 0.9 grams were found in Manalili’s possession.

The PNP said it remains committed to its mission to rid Baguio City of illegal drugs.

We will come for them and they will be brought to justice,” said Baguio City Police Office Director (BCPO), PCol. Allen Rae Co.

Co also commended the operating troops for a job well done.
