A 21-YEAR-OLD heartbroken man was believed to have hanged himself under the Tanza-Hulong Duhat Bridge Sunday morning in Malabon city.
The lifeless body of the jobless man and resident of Azucena St.,Merville Tanza was discovered by Roberdo Villador, 48, vendor at around 7 a.m.
The victim’s friend told Malabon police homicide investigators P/SSgt. Jeric Tindugan and P/Cpl. Renz Marlon Baniqued that the suicide victim tried to slit his wrist following a break-up with his girlfriend on Jan. 15, 2021.
“Sabagay naman nasasaktan kita at para hindi ka na masaktan, mas mabuti na mawala na lang ako,” the victim was quoted as telling his girlfriend during a video call.
The victim’s mother has executed a waiver of investigation saying she was no longer interested in the conduct of an investigation and autopsy since she believes there was no foul play in the death of her son.
