Man punches cop’s brod for kicks, held

FOR making the mistake of picking on an online seller who happened to be a policeman’s brother for ”trip” purposes, a 28-year-old man landed in jail and is now facing charges.

Pat. Ruzzel Manuel, assigned at the Manila Police District-Blumentritt Police Community Precint, arrested the suspect identified as JR Flores, 28, of 474 Concha St., Tondo.

In his complaint, victim Aaron Manuel , 26 , of 385 Pavia St., Tondo, Manila, told MPD-Station 7 probers that at around 5 a.m. Tuesday, he was waiting for his customer on N. Zamora Street when the suspect, whom he said was reeking of liquor, arrived aboard a scooter, got off and punched him several times for still unknown reasons then sped off.

The victim sought his brother-policeman’s help and together, they scoured the area until they saw the suspect and had him arrested.

The suspect had been charged with violation of Article 266 of the Revised Penal Code (slight physical injury) before the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office.
