A 42-year-old man was gunned down in Tondo, Manila on Sunday night by two gunmen who shot him nine times after they were allegedly paid by the victim with fake money.
In a report by the Manila Police District -homicide to MPD Director Arnold Thomas Ibay, the victim, a certain ‘Gerry’, of No. 1941 C2 Capulong St., Tondo, Manila, died due to bulletwounds in the different parts of the body while receiving treatment at the Tondo Medical Center.
Now being hunted down, according to Ibay, are the suspects identified as Andrew Villaflor, of No. 47 Magsaysay St., Barangay 120 Tondo and Jerson Sonajo alias Dong, 30, of No. 13 Model St., Brgy. 119 Tondo.
Investigation showed that incident took place at the corner of Quezon and Perla Streets in Brgy. 120, Tondo at around 8 p.m., while the victim was buying food. Unknown to him, the suspects were tailing him.
The CCTV in the area caught the suspects confronting the victim. Moments later, the suspects were seen chasing the victim who was then seen sprawled on the ground and then rushed to the hospital.
Initial information gathered by the police said that the suspect is allegedly involved in the proliferation of fake money in the area.
