Mayor Honey Lacuna reminded residents of Manila that the deadline to avail of the 20 percent discount on real property tax payments is on December 10, 2024 or Tuesday next week, saying such deadline will no longer be extended.
In line with this, Lacuna said that personnel from the City Treasurer’s Office under Jasmin Talegon will go to work and open its office on Saturday, December 7, 2024, to accommodate those who are trying to beat the deadline but only have time to do so on weekends.
According to Talegon, the CTO will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. wherein real property taxpayers may may avail of the 20 percent discount for tax year 2025.
This, Talegon said, may be done either by paying at the Taxpayer’s Lounge at the Manila City Hall or via the Go Manila App.
Lacuna has once again advised the public of the schedule of discounts for real property tax for the year 2025 wherein advance payments may be made by property owners in Manila until December 10, 2024 to avail of a 20 percent discount.
Payments made from December 11 to 29 will qualify the payor for a 15 percent discount while prompt payments from January 1 to 31, 2025 will grant taxpayers a 10 percent discount.
Lacuna said that property owners in Manila are advised to take advantage of the said discounts on the said tax obligation.
“Be reminded though, that only accounts without delinquencies will qualify of the said discounts,” she said.
For updated accounts, payment may only be made online through Go Manila app or www.gomanila.com, while those with delinquent accounts may pay via over-the-counter transactions at E-BOSS center at Manila City Hall.
