THE Manila Police District-Station 3 arrested over the weekend a former Manila policeman who is wanted for rape.
Station Commander PLt. John Guiagui said August Ceasar Abiog, of No. 23, Road 2, Balubaran, Malinta, Valenzuela City, was nabbed along Road 2 at around 6 p.m. of October 10, 2020.
Guiagui said Abiog is his station’s ‘Number 3 Most Wanted Person (4th Quarter 2020)’ and was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest dated April 1, 2014 issued by Judge Silverio Castillo of the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 46.
It was learned that Abiog is facing a case of rape in the said RTC, docketed as criminal case Number 13-29-8728-20.
Based on the warrant, elements of the intelligence and warrant and subpoena branch led by PCapt. Kristo John Ramirez conducted the service of wanted person warrant against Abiog.
Abiog did not resist arrest after having been properly apprised of his Constitutional rights.
He is presently detained at the Station 3 custodial facility pending the return of the warrant of arrest and his commitment order.
