THE scheduled reopening of the newly-rehabilitated Manila Zoo on November 15, 2022 had been moved to November 21, 2022.

This was announced by Mayor Honey Lacuna, saying the new schedule is meant to give way for the final preparations needed inside the zoo.

“Sa pakiusap ng mga stall owners para lalo nila mapaganda at mapaghandaan ang tuluyang pagbubukas ng Manila Zoo, minabuti natin na ipagpaliban muna ang pagbukas ng Manila Zoo from November 15 to November 21,” Lacuna said.

It was learned from Manila Zoo Director Pio Morabe that Manila Zoo will be operating from 9 a.m. to 8:p.m. with a cut-off for entry of guests at 6 p.m.daily.

According to Morabe, the admission fees are as follows: Adult and child – P150 for Manilans and P300 for non-Manilans; Students – P100 for Manilans and P200 for non-Manilans.

The rates for senior citizens and PWDs will have a 20 percent discount while children two years old and below may enter for free.

Lacuna’s spokesperson Atty. Princess Abante said that via manilazoo.ph, online registration and purchase of tickets will be available starting November 20, 2022.
