MAYOR Honey Lacuna and Vice Mayor Yul Servo said that on behalf of the members of their families, the Manila City Council, Congressmen, officials and employees of the city as well as all of Manilans, they are one in sending prayers and good wishes for Dr. Willie Ong, who had been reported to be suffering from cancer.
Lacuna said that Dr. Ong, better known as Doc Willie, showed his unique dedication to public service through his vlogs which he does with his wife Dr. Liza.
In their vlogs, the doctor-couple share tips and information on wide-ranging health concerns that are based on studies and facts.
“We are one in praying for Doc Willie as he faces this most challenging chapter in his life. We come together to let Doc Willie Ong and his family know that he is deeply loved and admired for his compassion and wisdom,” the lady mayor said, adding that they all wish he overcomes his illness.
Doc Willie was fully supported by Manila‘s ruling party, Asenso Manileno, when he ran for Vice President in 2022.
