Pursuant to the Universal Health Care Law, Mayor Honey Lacuna is drumming up support for the registration of Manila residents with PhilHealth.

“Lahat ng benepisyo ng Philhealth, maibibigay sa inyo kung registered na po kayo,” Lacuna said.

She also called on those who are already registered to convince their family members, relatives and neighbors to also register with PhilHealth.

In connection with this, Lacuna had ordered the activation of all the health centers in Manila in terms of helping the residents get PhilHealth registration.

The said simultaneous citywide Philhealth registration in the 44 health centers of Manila in all six districts began on Friday, February 17 and is being done under the supervision of the Manila Health Department headed by its chief, Dr. Arnold ‘Poks’ Pangan.

Lacuna said that the city government targets to accommodate at least 300 individuals per day per health center.

It was learned that according to Philhealth, the targetted number of registrants in Manila is at least 300,000.
