THE 20th “Usapang Sports on Air” by the Tabloids Organization in Philippine Sports (TOPS) will be finally held on Nov. 19 with boxing, muaythai, football and e-sports on the discussion table.
Tokyo Olympics campaigner Eumir Marcial and Muaythai Association of the Philippines secretary-general Pearl Managuelod will headline the guests in the 10 a.m. public service program.
Marcial will talk about his training for his coming fight against former middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs in California on Nov. 27, as well as his preparations for the Tokyo Olympics next year.
The 25-year-old Filipino champion is currently training under Freddie Roach at the famed Wildcard gym in Hollywood.
Marcial is the second Tokyo Olympian to grace the weekly sports session after fellow boxing champion Irish Magno last month.
Managuelod will discuss the coming Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) elections on Nov. 27 as well as the muaythai association’s activities during the pandemic
Joining Marcial and Managuelod in the program are Maharlika Football Club founder Anton del Rosario and manager Choy Calunsod and e-sports personality Kaisaya.
TOPS president Ed Andaya of People’s Tonight is inviting all officers and members and friends in the sports community to attend the weekly forum sponsored by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) and Games and Amusements Board (GAB).
TOPS is composed of sports editors, reporters and photographers of the country’s leading national tabloids.
Well-known sportscaster Ernest Leo Hernandez and Phaister are the TOPS moderators.
