A VENDOR and two jobless men were caught in possession of dried marijuana leaves Wednesday in Bgy. Caingin ,Sta Rosa City, Laguna.
Laguna Provincial Director PCol.Serafin Petalio II said identified the suspects as Christian Esguera, 22, vendor , Omar Piad Dela Cruz, 19, self-employed, and Christian Rosal Reyes, 25, all of Sta Rosa City, Laguna.
The PDEA and operatives of the Sta Rosa police arrested the suspects during a buy-bist in Purok 4, Bgy. Caingin.
During the operation, the suspects sold a sachet containing dried marijuana leaves for P500.
Dela Cruz and Reyes were also nabbed after buying a sachet of dried marijuana leaves from Catibo.
Confiscated from Catibo were three sachets containing dried marijuana leaves, four P100 peso bills, cash and an Oppo cellphone. The P500 bill used as buy-bust money was also recovered from the suspect.
A sachet containing dried marijuana leaves was confiscated from Dela Cruz and Reyes.
The suspects are now in the custody of Sta. Rosa police while charges for violation of sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165 are being prepared to be filed before the City Prosecutors office.
