THE Filipino at Tsino Magkaibigan Foundation of the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) handed over rice and classroom donations to the municipality of Marilao, Bulacan, one of the areas hardest hit by deep floods during the recent typhoons.
Marilao Mayor Atty. Jemina Sy personally received the said donations coursed through the office of Administrator Bernie Ang and personally turned over by federation officials headed by its President, Victor Lim. She was also accompanied by Marilao Vice Mayor Ariel Amador; Chris Chua, executive assistant to Ang and Loma de Gato Barangay Chairperson Aya Saycon.
Mayor Sy expressed her heartfelt thanks for the said donations saying they will go a long way in helping her constituents whose livelihood were displaced, on top of the assistance being provided for by her office.

The mayor also bared that she and Administrator Ang are working on plans to have another Chinatown built in Marilao.
She welcomed the Chinese-Filipino businessmen to her town and encouraged them to also do business in Marilao, the way they contributed significantly to the progress of Manila and the country in general.
For his part, Administrator Ang thanked the FFCCCII for the donations which comprised of 1,000 sacks of rice and four classrooms at the Loma de Gato in Marilao.
The lady mayor said she went around the Chinatown area to get a glimpse of how they can have a similar one in Marilao.
