MANILA Mayor Honey Lacuna received an award as an “Outstanding Public Servant 2023.’
The award was bestowed by the Diamond Golden Peace Care Good Heart World Class Global Award International Philippines, Inc., headed by its founder and chairperson Baby Go, who announced the awardees during the 4th Diamond Golden Awards Night held last week.
The lady mayor was presented the award at the regular flag-raising ceremony held in Manila City Hall on Monday.
In personally receiving the said award, Lacuna thanked the award-giving body for the recognition.
Lacuna shared the award with her fellow city officials and personnel, whom she said had been constantly supporting her and all the programs she had laid out for the city and its residents.
The mayor said that the award goes for all city government workers and expressed hope that it will serve as another source of inspiration for all of them to do even better in the delivery of basic public services.
Over 150 other distinguished individuals and organizations from various sectors were also honored by the said foundation.
These sectors are: business, government service, media, politics and entertainment as well as personalities from different endeavors.
