“Marami pa tayong kailangang tapusin at gawin.”
Thus stated Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna, after casting her vote at the Legarda Elementary School in Sampaloc at around 9 a.m. yesterday, where she also said that she is happy that the campaign period is over and that she had already cast her vote.
“Masaya po tayong bumoto. Hinihikayat ko po ang bawat isa na tuparin ang kanilang tungkulin bilang mamamayan sa pamamagitan ng pagboto. Sama-sama po nating itaguyod ang isang mabuting kinabukasan para sa ating lungsod,” Lacuna said.
Lacuna, who is running under the Lakas-CMD party and the city’s ruling dominant party, AsensoManileño, said that when the canvassing is over and she gets another term, all the programs lined up for the senior citizens and jobless Manilans will continue.

Once again, the lady mayor expressed gratitude to the people of Manila who continue to support and believe in the honest and genuine public service of her administration, adding that she is committing everything to God.
As a doctor, her administration’s priorities are best health care and social services for the sick, elderly and the indigents.
Lacuna made history by the being the first woman vice mayor, Manila City Council majority floorleader, Presiding Officer and as the first woman mayor in the city’s over 450-year history.
Her reelection bid is being backed by five out of six incumbent Congressmen, majority of the Manila Councilors and numerous religious organizations including Muslim groups and private entities.
Of late, Lacuna also has the backing of the camp of former Mayor Fred Lim and the Senior Citizens’ Party-list, among others.
