MAYOR Honey Lacuna cited Vice Mayor Yul Servo-Nieto and the members of the Manila City Council for helping her administration succeed, as she expressed confidence that the harmonious relationship between the city’s executive and legislative arms will continue in the years to come.

Lacuna acknowledged the role that the Office of the Vice Mayor and the Manila City Council play so that the programs she had lined up for the citizens of Manila are implemented the soonest time possible.

“Isa lamang itong patunay kung gaano kagaling at ka-epektibo ang ating pangalawang Punong-Lungsod, kagalang-galang John Marvin ‘Yul’ Servo-Nieto…isang patunay ng magandang samahan ng ehekutibo at lehislatura kung kaya’t mas mabilis at maraming nagagawa ang ating pamahalaan,” the lady mayor added. The mayor herself used to be a Manila Councilor until she became the Vice Mayor and concurrent Presiding Officer of the Manila City Council.

Meanwhile, Lacuna expressed gratitude to all the agencies, offices and employees who helped make the Feast of the Black Nazarene a success.

The mayor particularly thanked and commended the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction Magament Office under its Director Arnel Angeles; City Engineering Office under its chief Engr. Armand Andres; the Department of Public Services under Kayle Nicole Amurao; the Manila Parking and Traffic Bureau headed by Zenaida Viaje; Manila Health Department under its Director Dr. Poks Pangan; the Manila Department of Social Welfare headed by its chief, Re Fugoso; the Department of Tourism headed by Charlie Dungo as its director; the Manila Public Information Office headed by Atty. Princess Abante and the Office of the Mayor.

Lacuna likewise praised the Manila Police District headed by its Director, PBGen. Andre Dizon and the Bureau of Fire under its chief FSSupt. Christine Cula along with all the other national agencies whom she said helped in keeping the activities related to the Feast of the Black Nazarene orderly.
