MANILA Mayor Honey Lacuna’s administration reaped awards anew.
This time, three of the district hospitals being run by the city government received awards from the Department of Health (DOH) for having attained the best practices as ‘Green and Safe’ health facilities.
“We in the city of Manila are grateful to the DOH for this unique acknowledgement of our efforts to keep our health facilities green and safe and environmentally-friendly,” said Lacuna.
The mayor commended the directors of the three of the said city government-owned hospitals that have received recognition from the DOH in the recently- concluded Green Viability Awards.
The recipients of the said DOH awards are the Sta. Ana Hospital (SAH) headed by its director, Dr. Grace Padilla; Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital (JJASGH) headed by Director Dr. Merle Sacdalan-Faustino and the Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center (OMMC) under Dr. Aileen Lacsamana.
They received plaques of recognition during the awarding ceremony held in Clark, Pampanga.
Lacuna congratulated both the JJASGH and OMMC which garnered four green stars and the SAH which received three green stars.
The awards, it was learned were given to the said hospitals for contributing to the green, safe and climate resilience environment in a hospital setting.
