Mayor Oca sacks job-order employee nabbed for kotong

CALOOCAN City Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan has ordered the dismissal from the service of a job-order worker who was earlier arrested in an entrapment operation by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

In a report reaching the office of Mayor Oca, job-order worker Vince Noveno, assigned at the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) was arrested based on a complaint of an ice plant operator who accused him of extorting money in exchange for the processing of business and license permit.

NBI agents arrested Noveno in an entrapment operation while the latter was at work at the Caloocan North City Hall Monday afternoon.

The city chief executive also encouraged the public to report these kind of activities of officers and employees that those found to be in violation of the law can be removed immediately.
