‘Mazu’ processions set today, tomorrow in Manila

THE Manila Police District Traffic Enforcement Unit has issued a traffic advisory in connection with the procession of the image of ‘Mazu’, a Chinese sea goddess, slated this morning and October 23 in Manila.

It was learned that the procession will begin at 9 a.m. today from Katigbak Drive in front of the Ermita Police Station (PS5). It will pass by Jones Bridge-Quintin Paredes St. going to Plaza Ruiz.

On October 23 at 7:30 a.m., another procession will begin at Plaza Ruiz, straight to Juan Luna St., left to Plaza Cervantes, right to Jones Bridge, straight to P. Burgos Ave. to Katigbak Drive and then left to Quirino Grandstand.

The MDTEU said it will implement a ‘Stop and Go situation’ during the said processions.

It also advised the public to avoid the said routes in order to avoid traffic.
