AS part of the celebration of its 43rd anniversary, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) introduced a refreshed brand identity through the unveiling of its new logo, as well as a revised mission and vision statement that more accurately reflects its evolving role as a regulatory body.

“The unveiling of our new identity is a significant step in our journey towards becoming a regulatory authority that prioritizes safety, efficiency, and innovation. This transformation aligns with our mission to guide and oversee the operations at NAIA while ensuring that the highest standards of aviation are met,” MIAA General Manager Eric Jose Ines said.

The MIAA’s anniversary celebration is the first such occasion since the shift of its mandate from operator to regulator of the country’s main gateway, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

It will be recalled that on September 14, 2024, the operations and maintenance of NAIA were transferred to the New NAIA Infra Corporation (NNIC), making way for MIAA’s shift towards a regulatory function. This transition is part of broader efforts to modernize and enhance the airport experience for passengers, while ensuring the long-term sustainability of the NAIA.

Ines expressed his gratitude to the MIAA personnel for their continued motivation despite the ongoing changes, as he also shared his honor and privilege in working with each and every one of them.

The MIAA has organized several activities to commemorate its 43rd anniversary. These include a blood donation drive, a Zumba wellness activity for MIAA employees, a weeklong food bazaar and a Holy Mass.

The celebration was held at the MIAA Administration Building in Pasay City.
