Milo stars Fernandez, Lopez lead TOPS guests

MILO’sMula Noon, Hanggang Ngayon” campaign will be formally launched during the “Usapang Sports on Air” by the Tabloids Organization in Philippine Sports (TOPS) on Thursday, March 25.

Barcelona Olympics taekwondo veteran Stephen Fernandez and Southeast Asian Games taekwondo gold medalist Pauline Lopez will join Nestlé Philippines-MILO Assistant Vice President Lester P. Castillo in introducing Milo’s latest campaign to help parents enable their children continue their champion journeys through sports.

Fernandez and Lopez will also pay tribute to legendary athletes and give encouragement for young athletes during the 10 a.m. public service program.

The second half of the weekly session will feature Kaizen dela Serna, who bagged the gold medal in the SEA Games obstacle course racing: and Rose Jean Fadol, who represented the country in the World and Olympic qualifiers recently.

TOPS president Ed Andaya of People’s Tonight is inviting all officers and members, and friends in the sports community, to join the sports
forum sponsored by the Philippine Sports Commission ( PSC), Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) and Games and Amusements Board (GAB).

This is the 12th session for the year of TOPS, which is composed of editors, columnists, reporters and photographers of the country’s leading national tabloids and blogger-friends from different social media groups.

This will also be the fourth week of discussions about women achievers in sports as part of the “Women’s Month” celebrations.

Last March 4, TOPS opened women’s month celebrations by guesting the Negrense Abanse duo of Alexa Polidario and Erjane Magdato, who ruled the Gatorade-PSL Beach Volleyball Challenge Cup in Subic.

PSC Commissioner Celia Kiram, Philippine Sports Hall of Fame awardee Elma Muros-Posadas and mixed martial arts superstar Lara Pearl Alvarez of Team Lakay attended the session last March 11; while Philippine Olympians Association president Akiko Thomson-Guevara, taekwondo champion-coach Janice Lagman-Lizardo and duathlon star Pawie Fornea joined the forum last March 18.
