OVER 2,000 residents of Manila will no longer be jobless as Mayor Honey Lacuna announced the holding of yet another job fair to be held under the city government’s ‘Kalinga sa Maynila PESO Job Fair/City Hall on the Go!’ on February 19, 2025.
According to Lacuna, the said job fair is open to high school graduates, college level, college and tech/voc graduates and will be conducted by the city government’s Public Employment Service Office headed by Fernan Bermejo in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment – National Capital Region and the DOLE- NCR Manila Field Office.
It was learned from Bermejo that on orders of Lacuna, PESO job fairs are being conducted twice a week, with the aim of providing jobs for Manila residents who need employment.
The lady mayor said interested applicants may visit the job fair which be held from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at the corner of P. Florentino and Cristobal Streets in, Sampaloc, Manila.
They are advised to wear casual attire and bring ten copies of their resume and their own ballpens, even as they are also advised to follow existing public health protocols.
She said the ‘Kalinga’ job fair which will be held in Barangay 472 is also open to nearby barangays and will be held simultaneously with other activities involving the provision of free basic services on Florentino Street, within the same vicinity.
These free services include the following: OVR payment; processing/renewal of PWD, solo parent and senior citizen IDs; free medical check-up and laboratory examination; pet vaccination; birth certificate concerns, TESDA training and free dental services, reading glasses, medicines, massage and haircut, among others.
