MPD on alert for rallies following FPRRD arrest

THE Manila Police District (MPD) announced alertness among its ranks following the arrest of former President Rodrigo Roa-Duterte (FPRRD).

MPD Director Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay said that the number of policemen deployed in Mendiola is normal.

According to Ibay, “It is a regular deployment for our CDM (Civil Disturbance Management) personnel.”

The MPD- Public Information Office (PIO) said the situation in the city is quiet and there are no protest actions whatsoever in Mendiola.
