MPD rounds up 14 minors for violating curfew ordinance

FOR violating the existing curfew ordinance, 14 minors were rounded up by operatives from the Manila Police District -Police Station 13.

The minors were caught in an operation that was conducted at Barangay 649, Baseco Compound in Port Area, Manila, after they were found to be loitering the streets from 10 p.m. onward.

Beat patrollers under PLt.Colonel Rommel Anicete, Station Commander of the MPD-PS 13, rounded up the minors who were subsequently turned over to the barangay for proper disposition.

The curfew ordinance states that minors are prohibited to loiter in the streets from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Violation of the ordinance carries a P5,000 imprisonment or one month imprisonment or both.

The parents or guardians of the minor caught will already be the ones that will be penalized once the minor violates the ordinance for the fourth time.
