MPD seizes some P12m shabu in Quiapo buy-bust

About P12 million worth of shabu was confiscated by Manila Police District -Police Station 14 operatives from a 26- year old Muslim man during a buy-bust operation in Quiapo, Manila the other day.

Now in the custody of the MPD-PS14 is suspect Salaudin Baumal of Pasig City, following his arrest at around 2:30 a.m. at Room No. B4, Balay sa Ciudad on Quezon Blvd., Brgy. 391, Quiapo, Maynila.

PMajor Gil John Lobaton said that PSSg Jose Edward Gomez and Pat. Fernand De Castro posed as buyers and after the suspect received the P1,000 marked money, he was collared.

Seized from the suspect were 10 medium plastic sachets and one big plastic, all containing shabu weighing 1.750 grams worth P11. 9 million.

He was charged with violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

MPD.Director P BGen. Andre Dizon commended the MPD-PS14 for the successful operation and the seizure of the huge amount of shabu.

“This is quite an accomplishment for the men and women of PS14 and the Manila Police District. This demonstrates our relentless campaign to resolve and to go all-out in our fight against illegal drugs to clear our barangays of this menace to the society,” Dizon said.
