MARIJUANA kush with a total gross weight of more or less 5,703 grams and a with standard drug price value of P8,554,500 was seized by the NAIA-IADITG.
The confiscation was made following an operation at the Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC) Domestic Road, Pasay City at around 2:30 p.m. on April 2, 2025.
A report submitted by PDEA- RO-NCR said that the subject of the operation were abandoned parcels were declared as rice TH, pillows, dried fruits, tea and toys.
The operation resulted in the discovery that the said parcels actually contained dried leaves suspected to be kush.
Authorities said the shipper and receiver involved are now subjects of investigation and the filing of appropriate charges in violation of RA 9165.
Meanwhile, the drug evidence were submitted to the PDEA Laboratory Service for laboratory examination.
