NBI arrests 11 illegal recruiters

The National Bureau of Investigation arrested 11 suspected illegal recruiters which included two Egyptian and Sudanese suspects, in separate operations in Pasay City and San Pedro, Laguna just recenty.

NBI Director Dante Gierran identified them as Egyptian Ahmed Ragab Ramadan Ahmed, Sudanese Muwafag Yusuf Omer Musa, and their Filipino associates identified as Lorezel Mainit Reyes-Sarte, Laila Verano Aquino, Jhona Pestijo Pastora, Rhazmalyn Ibrahim Musa, Josephus Askin Pacer, Vea Casandra Tindugan Berja, Howard Justin Villate Apuntar, Geanmarie Garay Ner, and Julieta Ferrer Mendoza.

They were charged with large scale illegal recruitment  which is a non-bailable offense.

Their arrest stemmed after three individuals applying for employment abroad were promised by the suspects that they would be deployed to Saudi Arabia after completion of their requirements.

But upon verification by the complainants with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, it was discovered that some of the suspects were not connected to recruitment agency RM Advent Global Services Incorporated.

It was at this juncture that the victims coordinated with the NBI, which wasted no time in hatching an operation against the suspects.
