NBI probes into missing lady accountant

A thorough probe is currently being conducted by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) headed by its Director Jaime Santiago, in connection with the missing 35-year-old lady accountant about a month ago.

It was reported that the accountant’s family also found out that Irene Melican’s money from her cards amounting to P3.5 million are also missing.

The relatives suspect that Melican had been abducted by a man he met on a dating application.

The NBI said it arrested on Tuesday a person of interest (POI) in the case of the missing accountant and that he is being subjected to interrogation by the bureau.

The said suspect was reportedly nabbed on June 9, 2024 but the victim is yet to be found.

The accountant’s family is calling on anyone with information to help them resolve the case.
