MANILA Mayor Honey Lacuna announced that through the efforts of her administration and that office of Congressman Rolan Valeriano (2nd district), all the police community precincts (PCPs) in the said district within the city are now wearing a new look that is more conducive for work.

Lacuna said this, as she and Valeriano led the inauguration of the new Gagalangin PCP in Tondo, where they were joined by Manila Police District (MPD) Director Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay, as well as city officials and councilors.

There, Lacuna profusely thanked Valeriano for assisting her administration in the wake of the almost P18 billion debt left by the previous mayor.

Kaya maraming salamat,” Lacuna said.

In his speech, Valeriano said that he has already built new precincts in Bambang, Abad Santos, Pampanga,Tayuman, Pritil, Manuguit, Padre Algue and now, Gagalangin, adding that the new Precinct 7 will also be done soon. Sana ay mas mapanatiling maayos ang peace and order sa ating distrito,” Valeriano said, adding that he and the other Congressmen in Manila remain in full support of Lacuna and the Asenso Manileno, which he said, is genuine in its efforts to bring the best of public service for the residents of Manila.

Lacuna, in her message, has called upon barangay authorities to help the police maintain security, peace and order by cooperating with the police fully.

On the other hand, Lacuna called on the police to make their presence felt 24/7, saying what they inaugurated was just a building and what matters most importantly, would be the policemen occupying it and the quality of service they will give to the residents within their area of jurisdiction.

Lastly, Lacuna appealed to the policemen who will be occupying the new PCP building to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in their office stressing: ang isang matinong pulis, malinis.”
