AT least 11,584 beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program or 4Ps in 21 barangays in the city of Malabon received their new Europay Mastercard Visa (EMV) chip-ATM cards from the Land Bank of the Philippines.
Those who received their new EMV were from Bgys. Flores, Catmon, Hulong Duhat, Ibaba, Longos, Maysilo, Muzon, Niugan, Panghulo, Tonsuya, Acacia, Baritan, Bayan-Bayanan, Concepcion, Dampalit, Potrero, San Agustin, Santolan, Tañong, Tinajeros, and Tugatog.
Together with representatives of Department of Social Welfare and Development and Land Bank of the Philippines, Malabon Congressman Ricky Sandoval and Vice Mayor Jeannie Sandoval implemented their desire for qualified beneficiaries of 4Ps and other social welfare and benefits program under RA 10963 or the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law to get a new EMV chip-ATM cards.
“Dahil sa modernisasyon sa ating bansa na sinamahan pa ng mga ma-kabagong teknolohiya at mga batas ukol sa social services para sa ating mga kababayan, hindi na tayo nahuhuli at sa halip ay dumodoble pa ang serbisyong naibibigay. Hassle free at pinabilis na serbisyo -- iyan naman ang aming layunin noon pa man para sa mga taga-Malabon,” Sandoval said.
Vice Mayor Sandoval, for her part said one of the benefits of TRAIN law is the 4Ps which is a human development program of the DSWD that invests in the health and education of poor families in Malabon City. “Sa pamamagitan ng kaukulang tulong ng pamahalaan, mas mapapabuti ang edukasyon, kalusugan at mapapaunlad pa ang buhay ng bawat pamilyang taga-Malabon,” she said.
