1,479 rounded up by Quezon City Police District

A total of 1,479 persons were rounded up by different police stations of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) for violating laws and city ordinances from 5 a.m. of December 13 to 5 a.m. of Dec. 14, 2018.

La Loma Police Station (PS 1) accosted 14 for smoking in public places, 357 for jaywalking and rescued 22 minors for violating the discipline hours.

Masambong (PS 2) collared three for drinking liquor in public places, 35 for smoking in public places and 74 for jaywalking.

Talipapa (PS 3) accosted 169 for different traffic violations.

Novaliches (PS 4) collared five for smoking in public places, eight for creating trouble, 81 for jaywalking and 80 for different traffic violations.

Fairview (PS 5) accosted seven for smoking in public places and 32 for different traffic violations.

Batasan (PS 6) arrested 19 for smoking in public places, one for roaming half-naked in public places, 89 for jaywalking, one for urinating in public place, one for littering and rescued four minors violating the discipline hours.

Cubao (PS 7) accosted 34 for smoking in public places and 27 for littering.

Project 4 (PS 8) accosted six for smoking in public places, 200 for jaywalking and five for other traffic violations.

Anonas (PS 9) accosted 15 for smoking in public places and 22 for jaywalking while Kamuning (PS 10) held one for smoking in public place, one for roaming half-naked in public place and seven for jaywalking.

Galas (PS 11) accosted 130 for jaywalking and Eastwood (PS 12) collared three for smoking in public places and 26 for different traffic violation.

QCPD director Chief Supt. Joselito T. Esquivel Jr. said those accosted were issued Ordinance Violation Receipts (OVR) or render community service. He called on the public to obey laws and city ordinances at all time to avoid being penalized.
