MALABON City police arrested two men for allegedly stealing a motorcycle of a female online seller in a follow-up operation Monday evening in Rodriguez, Rizal.
Angelo Ventura, 22 of Pamasawata, C3 Road, Blk 12 Brgy. 12 Caloocan City and Rexie De Leon, 21 of Langaray Padas, Dagat-Dagatan Caloocan City were arrested by joint elements of Malabon Station Investigation Unit led by Lt. Joseph Almayda and Rodriguez Police Station past 7 p.m. while in possession of a stolen Honda motorcycle owned by Arleigh Clavio, 41.
Malabon police chief P/Col. Jessie Tamayao said Clavio parked her motorcycle in front of her house along Parros Alley, Blk 9, Lot 11 Phase 3E1, in Bgy. Longos last Sunday evening until she discovered the following day, Monday that her motorcycle was already missing, prompting her to seek police assistance.
Case investigators P/SSgt. Jeric Tindugan and P/Cpl. Michael Oben of Station Investigation Unit were able to trace the victim’s neighbor Joy Hular, 43, who witnessed the incident and identified the two suspects who stole Clavio’s motorcycle.
Policemen were able to trace the whereabouts of the suspects in Rodriguez, Rizal that resulted in their arrest.
The suspects were presented for inquest proceedings before the Malabon City Prosecutor’s Office on charges for violation of Anti-Carnapping Law.
