2 Chinese  nat’ls, Grab driver yield guns, shabu in Pasay

AUTHORITIES seized unlicensed firearms and illegal drugs from two Chinese nationals and their Filipino cohort during a buy-bust operation Thursday in Pasay City.

POGO (Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator) worker Wen Bo, 33 of Unit 1055 Tower A, Shell Residence, EDSA Pasay city, along with Jiaqi Huang, 34, jobless of Unit 1439 Towers A, Shell Residence and  63-year-old Grab driver Manuel Torres of 6940 Rosal St. Bgy. Guadalupe Viejo, Makati City were arrested at around 11 a.m. along Sunrise Drive, just beside Shell Residence in Bgy. 76 Zone 10, after conspiring to sell medium. sized plastic sachet of shabu worth P5,000 to a police poseur-buyer.

Elements of Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) led by P/Capt. Deni Mari Pedrozo, together with Station Intelligence Unit, recovered from the arrested suspects a total of 13.2 grams of shabu with an estimated street value worth P89,750,00, the P5,000 marked money, two unlicensed German made RG caliber .38 revolver, a Smith & Wesson cal. 38 revolver, several pieces of  assorted ammunition, assorted drug paraphernalia, two Samsung and Iphone cellular phones and a  red Toyota Vios car.

Pasay city police chief P/Col. Ericson Dilag said the buy-bust was the result of a follow-up operation conducted by Makati City Police resulting in the arrest of two Chinese nationals in Bgy. Bel Air, Makati.

Case investigator P/Cpl. Zeus Rex Magdasoc said the confiscated drugs and firearms were turned over to Southern Police District (SPD) Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis and ballistic examination and ownership verification respectively.
