2 hired guns killed in clash

Two suspected members of a gun- for-hire group were killed in an encounter with the police in Barangay San Bartolome on Wednesday night.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director, PCSupt. Joselito T Esquivel Jr., said the suspects are yet to be identified.

The report showed that PS 4 operatives set a buy-bust operation against the suspects at about 11:45 p.m., Tuesday, along SB Road, Barangay San Bartolome, Novaliches.

However, during the transaction they sensed that they were dealing with a police operative. They pulled out their handgun and fired at the police. A brief shootout ensued that resulted in the death of the suspects.

Recovered from the suspects were a caliber .45 Remington Rand M1911 with serial Number 166583 with live ammunition, a Colt .45 with serial Number 1574839 with magazine, one Smith and Wesson without serial Number, a sachet of  shabu, a cellular phone, a wrist watch, a black Mio Sporty and the buy-bust money.
