TWO suspected robbers who robbed a spa and litson manok stall in a were killed in a shootout with police span of one hour in Novaliches, Quezon City early Friday.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director, Police Brigadier General Danilo P. Macerin said they are still determining the identity of the slain suspects.
The report showed that about 11:20 p.m. of January 21, 2021, massage therapists of Reign Spa identified as Joedema Decrepito, Angel Garcia and Christopher Mendoza, were attending to their clients inside the spa, when two men pretending to be clients arrived.
Once inside, the suspects pulled out their handguns and announced the heist.
The suspects immediately took the earnings of the spa including the belongings of its employees and clients.
The suspects fled on board two motorcycles.
Another robbery-holdup occurred at about 1 a.m. of January 22, at the Andok Lechon Manok branch located along Rebisco Road, Gen. Luis St., Bgy. Nagkaisang Nayon, Novaliches.
It was learned that service crew of the said establishment were manning their stall when two suspects approached them and announced the holdup at gunpoint.
The suspects took the victims’ cellular phones and the money from the cash box.
The four victims reported the incident to the PS 4 who immediately conducted a follow-up operation.
An hour later, operatives of PS 4 were traversing along Old Sauyo Road in Novaliches, when they spotted the four men on board two motorcycles.
The suspects reportedly fired shots upon seeing the policemen.
A running gunbattle ensued that resulted in the neutralization of the two suspects while their two cohorts managed to escape.
Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) investigators recovered several handguns and ammunitions from the suspects as well as the belongings they took from the four victims.
