3 men shot dead

THE Manila Police District (MPD) is conducting a thorough probe into the death of three men who were shot dead at the Baseco Compound in Port Area, Manila the other night.

The fatalities were identified as Ronald Lim, 34, a parking boy and said to be a member of ‘Sputnik Gang’; Nasser Madam, 27 and Ismael Kawi, 40, of Blk.15-A, Baseco Compound, Port Area, Manila.  The lone armed male suspect meanwhile, escaped.

A report forwarded by Det. Rodel Benitez to P/Capt. Henry Navarro, chief of the MPD homicide section, said that residents in the area heard gunshots at around 7:40 p.m.

Once the shooting stopped, Lim was found dead at the doorway of his home while the bodies of Madam and Kawi were found at the second floor.  They all had bullet wounds in the head and body.

The bodies of the three were brought to a funeral morgue for autopsy while the identity of the suspect and the motive for the killing are yet to be established by the police.
