About P2.3M worth of suspected shabu were seized from three drug suspects in a joint buy-bust operation by operatives of Quezon City Police District (QCPD) and Los Baños Police Station on Valentine’s Day.
QCPD Director, Police Chief Superintendent Joselito T Esquivel Jr, identified the suspects as Shoib Sampal, alias Tikboy, 35, and live-in partner Rossette Dimas, alias Seth, 39, businesswoman, residents of Bgy. San Antonio, Los Baños, Laguna and Violeta Espina, 31, of Tondo, Manila.
QCPD PS 4 Commander, Police Superintendent Rossel Cejas said the buy bust operation was an offshoot of previous anti-drug operation last February 13, in Bgy. Bagbag, Novaliches that led to the confiscation of more than 50 grams of shabu worth more than P300,000 and the arrest of four suspects.
The suspects pointed to their source as alias Tikboy and alias Seth who were former residents of Bgy. Bagong Silang, in Caloocan City before they moved to Los Baños, Laguna.
At about 9:30 p.m. Thursday, combined operatives of QCPD PS 4 and Los Baños Police Station under Police Superintendent Lowie D Dionglay at L1 Unit 2 B5 Villa Armanda residences Bgy. San Antonio, Los Baños, Laguna conducted the sting.
A poseur buyer bought shabu from the suspects worth P191,000 which resulted in their arrest.
Seized from the suspects were 350 grams of suspected shabu with estimated street value of P2,380,000, five cellular phones, a dark gray Toyota Fortuner and the buy-bust money.
