THREE were killed in a fire that hit a residential area on H. Lopez Boulevard in Tondo, Manila, yesterday morning.
They were identified as Mara Benza, 23, and cousins Leo Lance Tequillo and Andrei Tequillo, all of No. 650 H. Blvd., Gagalangin, Tondo.
Wounded with second degree burns was seven-year-old Lianlyn Tequillo and Ashley Tequillo, nine years old, who suffered a cut in the right thigh and first degree burns.
Fire Lieutenant John Joseph Jalique, ground commander, said the fire began at 6:17 a.m. and reached second alarm. It ended at 6:55 a.m.
SFO2 Louis Evio said the fire reportedly began from the house of one Lilia Tequillo, displaced 20 families and razed ten houses.
The victims got trapped on the ground floor of their two-storey house which was made of light materials.
