FOUR women, said to be members of a drug syndicate called “Salva Drug Group,” were nabbed by the Manila Police District during a buy-bust operation in Malate, Manila Thursday night.
No bail was recommended as charges for volation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against Lourdie Licunan, 33; Mary Joy delos Santos, 28; Rodaline Simon, 21 all of 1941 Ma. Orosa St., Malate, Manila and Marites Magbuhos, 47, of 1222 – C Pres. Quirino Avenue also in Malate.
Police said the buy-bust was conducted at around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday night near Pres. Quirino Avenue and Pulang Lupa Street.
Licunan was said to be the target of the said operation after police received information that drugs were flagrantly being sold in the said area.
The women, police said, are on the police drug watchlist and were nabbed after police were able to buy P200 worth of shabu. Confiscated from them were five grams of shabu with a street value of P34,000.Publication Source : People's Tonight
